7 strange fashion trends in the 1980's

As most of us know the 80's was filled with bright colors and big hair. These are examples of what I mean. Here's 7 strange fashion trends in the 80's.

1. Sweatbands

Sweatbands and headbands were worn to a great extent the 80's, they must be sweating a lot under those shoulder pads.

2. Acid Washed Denim

It's not that strange, but acid washed denim was big at the time and has recently come back into style in jackets, shorts, pants, shirts, shoes, and hats.

3. Fanny Packs

Why hold your purse or sling it over your shoulder when you can suspend it from your waist?

4. Neon

Neon was the thing in the 80's, well, if you were new wave then it was. Just throw on some neon and your ready to go!

5. Big Plastic Earrings

Bright clothing and matching earrings to match the aesthetic was the thing. That with feathered bangs was a teens beauty look.

6. Parachute Pants

MC Hammer did make them look cool to look in, but sag probably isn't the best way to go now

7. Members Only Jackets

Hello!!

Hello again! I'm so sorry for not posting, I haven't been able to get on this account because I forgot my password, all is good now though. This post will just be a life update because I haven't been on here since July!

Since July of 2018, lots has happened. I started 8th grade, got into two honors classes (Social Studies and English) one of which I'm very proud of myself for getting into (English). I bumped into my P.E. teacher at Trader Joes which was awkward, and much more. Drama because it's eighth grade, I got into one of the three singing groups at my school, it's called Amore. I got a first edition "A Night At The Opera" vinyl record in Torrance, LA when visiting my grandma, and celebrated my 13th birthday. Many smaller detail that don't quite matter...

That was my little life update and now that you're up to speed, enjoy my future posts <3

About Me!

About The Author: Reina

Reina is a young author who is very interested in writing and many other subjects.
Reina loves to play softball and is very intrigued in science and musical theatre.
She has absolutely loved theatre since she was a little girl. She also has always loved music
and Disney channel. She has played softball since she was in 4th grade. She loves to draw and
paint in her free time. She has been spelunking in Oregon once and is dying to go again.
Reina is a carnivore, who sometimes eats fruits and vegetables, that never tasted dragon fruit.
She is very much lazy, but at the same time loves to party. She loves to go to the beach with her
friends, but also loves going to her friend’s house and playing Wii with her squad. She does not
play fortnite and spends her time on Netflix and Youtube instead. She sometimes plays halo, but that
is only occasionally when her brothers don't kick her off the console. Reina likes to play instruments,
she plays the ukulele, a little piano and flute, and the melodica. She wants to learn to play guitar
too. She is scared of the ocean/ deep water because of reasons that happened as a child. She is
scared of a lot of things, but is open to trying new things. Reina is a person you most likely will
see out and about with her friends, but is also the person that would be at home in pajamas binge
watching a tv show while eating junk food. She has lots of aspects to her personality and loves
meeting new people. Reina is open for any feedback to improve her work. Thank you for reading!

"Apology" Poem

Just to say…

I ate the last of your favorite cereal

Which you were probably saving for breakfast

Forgive me, it was satisfying and delicious

Two Person POV Poem

I made this poem with my friend Livia, here's her blog you should check it out!!

Happy vs Sad

Happy
Both say this
Sad

I am sad
I am happy

I am quiet
I am laughing

I am crying puddles

We are strong feelings!

I am fun

I am lonely
I am energetic

I am apathetic
I am cheerful

I am lifeless

We are intense!

I am bright

I am gloomy
I am upbeat

I am dull
People enjoy me

People engulf in me

People use me more

But without sadness

Without happiness

Who would I battle with?

The Outsiders Book

The Outsiders Book
The Outsiders is definitely a great read. It is very eventful and has many shocking events in it. About the greasers and the Socs (short for socials), their heated battle might explode. The Greasers, main characters, in the book are the lower class people in town. The Socs are high class rich snobs that harass greasers in the Greasers territory. Ponyboy, a Greaser, goes on a wild adventure in this book. This is fiction and full of drama.

My opinion on this book is that it is one of my favorite books and I am very very picky with what stories I read. You will fall in love with these characters, rooting for them on their journey. If you are looking for fiction books full of exciting events. 100% would recommend this book
